Strange clam type animal

Hello,
I’m kinda new to the saltwater hobby, having my tank for about 6-7 months now and I just noticed this mollusk type animal on my glass.
Can anyone tell me if it should be removed, if it harms my corals or fish maybe, or if it’s just a cool new addition to my tank?

Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks
