Found this guy on my glass today and was wondering what it could be. I haven't added anything in probably 2-3 months, one which was a clump of Dragons' Breath/Chaeto macroalgae.
Current list of snails is as follows:
1 Magherita (maybe 2?)
2 Money Cowrie
It looks almost...
I just bought a bunch of cerith about a week ago. Since I’ve had them they all hang out right at the water line. Almost looks like they’re trying to escape. Tank temp is 78.7-79.0, haven’t had a chance to test my water but everything else (fish/coral/exsisting CUC) are doing...
Can someone tell me if this normal for a Trochus Snail? I have about 15 of them and two of them have these "tentacles" that are coming from the outer shell. Both of these two snails have a hole or crack in the shell as all others seem pretty solid. When I grabbed them for inspection they retract...
So, I've just come across something weird today. So at the beginning of the day I see a cerith snail riding on top of another cerith snail. Just now, I saw it again...This time on the front glass just before I went to turn my room lights off for bed. Just wondering, are they fighting? My...
Could this be caused by low calcium? I'm not sure but I've posted another thread that had my parameters and they said that my calcium and magnesium was a little low but I should be fine for what I have in the tank. These were Fridays readings.

Hellos guys, just found this guys in my tanks. I was looking around the tanks at night, with all the pumps off and found this guys. I believe him to be a nasarrius snail, but it is striped. I could see his “antena” and had sobre stripes. Is it possible to ID a snail just by its shell?
I bought my first ever coral about 4 months ago, a small 2 head Torch and a fungia plate coral, I dipped them both and got a small flatworm off the torch luckily. A few days into owning the torch and watching it get used to the water and extend, I noticed a little section of bristly exoskeleton...
I got some nassarius snails from a seller ive bought nassariusses from but they were much darker in color hoping its a different species. They are much more active in the tank than my all white ones. They do move quickly on the sand but i have never seen a whelk so im not sure how fast they are...
So about 3 weeks ago I added a very large single snail to my tank. I believed it was a Trochus snail. But it was sold as an omen snail according to my LFS.
When I first got him he has been fine but has just been on the glass and not touched my rocks or substrate. It is very large around a £5...
Hypothetically if you were Australian and you were struggling for months to find a distributor in your country to purchase a specific Nudibranch you have researched in depth, and it is illegal to import pretty much all marine animals in Australia without a license. And you didn't want a license...
I had JUST cleaned my tank and who do I see, a little snail with a long neck. It was TINY so I couldn’t get a decent pic. I did loss track of him. does anyone know if I should get this guy out sooner rather then later?
This looks more like a bug from the top and a snail from the bottom.
color - black
length - without antenna approx. 1.35cm. (with antenna-feelers stretched out approx. 2 cm.
shape - flat-oval, like a bug
had a strong suction on the glass of the tank
is it a reef tank friend or foe ? Keep or...
My all time favorite is always Conch, Conch, and Conch. Such a fun, interesting little creature.
Those long eyes that react to your action.
A powerful leg that moves fast.
A cute elephant nose that goes didadidadoo.
A heavy body that can't climb glass.
A long lived peaceful creature...
Stationary tentacle or worm, nocturnal, rapidly shrinks in bright light to what basically just looks like a pebble of sand stuck in a some snail slime.
Edit: not sure the video is going to work so here are stills
Hey everyone. I’m looking to get an id on what I think is a snail? I just want to make sure I don’t need to pull it out! Thank you.
I do have a video as well but can’t upload from my phone for some reason. But it moves just like a snail.
Hey everyone, so I’ve just started my reef tank up, it’s a 75L, 20 Gallon AIO reef sea max nano! I’m super proud of it, but I’ve got a couple questions regarding the addition of a CUC/livestock.
im planning on getting 2 clowns and a nem down the track, and eventually adding some SPS corals. I’m...
