Hey guys, I have a derasa clam who’s been doing great for over a month now. The other day he developed a hole in his mantle — so I’ve performed a fresh water dip and relocated him )”(unsure if something may have messed with him).

After the dip, I noticed a bunch of snail shells around him (unsure if they’re alive after the dip atm).

Anyone have some I.D. On these guys and know if they’ll drill/eat my clam?

No, for the snails - the part where the snail's head would stick out of the bottom of the shell; it should be circular in shape, but the exact shape can help with determining the kind of snail.
Ah, yeah I can try to get a better picture of it. The hole is heads up on the picture above.

Uploading some more photos — this is the best I could get with their size

I can't quite see the lip around the hole in the shell there, but there's a good chance these are pyramid snails, which are parasites of clams.

If there's a little fold on the lip around the hole, that would confirm it.

Yeah, this is definitely them :(.

I'm guessing a freshwater dip won't necessarily kill these pests and my best bet is to clean them off/capture as much as I can off of the clam and potentially relocate the clam into a different tank (really worried about not getting them all and spreading them to a different tank by mistake).

Probably will sump him.

Yeah, I haven't looked into these too much, but I've heard repeated manual removal may be the best option at the moment.

Yeah, my plan is to put him in a container with a bit of sand in the sump. The sump lights run at night time so it should trick the snails into coming out during daytime.

I'm just going to have to do a daily check now. I'm worried as he randomly gained a big rip in over the past 2 days (out of no where) and then these guys showed up.

Just found another critter on him after removing the other guys. Any hints to this snail?
