Just less than one cm across, found on Queensland (aus) live rock. When the light is off it withdraws into a little squishy body, very reminiscent of an anemone. It didnt look exactly like a majano or a relative, but not sure! Any ideas?
I have whatever these are on my sandbed and they are everywhere. I already posted this on macks dinoflagellates group and was told they dont know what they are... this was taken at 250x zoom. Anybody seen or know what these or are they are toxic and possible treatment?
Teeny tiny. Maybe 2mm. I have zoas, Xenia, a leather, montipora, galaxia, gsp, a rock flower nem and a pipe organ. Are they at risk or can I keep this cutie?

Hello all, see video attached. I'm curious what this hitchhiker on my new mushroom colony might be. It retracts into a tiny hole if I disturb any of the fine white hairs that are sticking out.
I'd estimate the hairs are 0.25-0.5" long or so and it's a cluster of them. Just curious if it's...
Hey Everyone!
I got TBS live rock @LiverockRocks for my tank in June and love all of the life that is now in my tank because of it!
Today, when I was feeding my tank, I noticed a small crab that I imagine hitchhiked in on the TBS live rock (although, of course, I cannot be 100% certain of...
So today while admiring my 7 month old tank I noticed a little wiggling on me rocks , and then realised I've got a infestation of tiny tiny little white worms ! 100s of them all over my rock tried to get pics but they so small I'm struggling. How boned am I ?
Could somebody please help me ID this? I got new zoas in yesterday and dipped them in coral Rx before adding them to the tank. I put them in the sand as I had to leave and was planning on placing them today, but I didn’t see anything on them when I put them in the tank. I’m not sure if it...
I ordered some blue hypnea online for my dwarf seahorse tank, they sent two VERY large portions of it. The first bag that I already put in the tank seemed to be clean, but I still rinsed it in fresh saltwater and hopefully there isn’t anything on it. This second bag has hydroids attached to the...
I’m working on turning my nano reef into a macroalgae tank for dwarf seahorses. It’s been up for a year now and these little things have been in there for about 8 months, basically since i added the one extra piece of rock that they’re on. There’s only a few of them on that one rock and none of...
Hi All!
I recently purchased 35 lbs of live ocean rock from the gulf and received a strange hitchhiker. At first glance, I thought it was part of the rock. But it’s has since opened up on the top, and receded when poked with feeding tongs. I’m thinking it might be a cucumber, but from what I...
Hello, this is the first time buying coral online and I want to know if these are hitchhikers. If they are how do I get rid of them without damaging the coral.
Gang! Send help! I’ve had this tank for a year now and everyone is doing well, we have had a bit of a battle with algae but that’s finally being won and disappearing! I was doing my usual check today once the lights went on and found that the rock has all these were tentacles coming out of it...
Not much to go on lol. I bought a tunicate rock and had a couple coral hitchhikers on them. Wondering what they might be, I believe the rock comes from the indo pacific, but likely indo specifically. Mostly wondering what the coral in the circled photo is. Considering what I believe is a favia...
I had a Duncan coral mysteriously die two days ago and now im seeing this strange red filamentous mass under my ricordia mushroom. Any idea what this is and if it’s dangerous? Here is the best picture I could get under white light, it looks reddish in color even under white light.
Found this coral growing on the back of a snail’s shell. Store had it labeled as “ninja star astrea snail”. Quick search resulted in nothing about them being captive bred, and since they’re native to the Atlantic. This leads me to believe the coral is some sort of Atlantic sps. Can anyone chime...
After some travel (excuse the green on the back of the tank) came home & was looking at my rock & saw these guys?? Any clue what they could be? only have soft corals, snails, herms & clownfish in the tank, but got some corals a few months back from lfs & probably had some hitchhikers, help would...
