Strange growth on starfish. (Tile Sea Star - Red Pink (Fromia monilis))

Does anyone know what this is, and should it be removed from the tank?

About 10 days. Water params are ok.

White spots like those can be not good news. Sorry. Here's a link that explains the process when the starfish are out in the wild and begin getting those spots. It's pretty common for this to happen to starfish in aquariums. If the spots grow or increase in number, the prognosis is not good.
