Strange Wrasse ID

I caught this guy in the wild while doing research off the Ningaloo reef years ago in a shallow fringe reef. I'm pretty sure it was a wrasse but it was swimming in a school of baby parrot fish I remember it looked really cool. Anyone knows what it is?

Yes, that's certainly A. lennardi.
