Thats what i'm worried with mine. But came with a baby and now the baby is almost as big as the original polyp. We shall see
How is yours doing , I recently got one and it’s doing amazing , constantly open (even through the nite) and is growing relatively fast (giving new babies every couple of weeks)

Thats awesome. Mine is doing good too, definitely got bigger and same thing. It stsys open through the night and day. But not growing polyps as fast. Maybe because i bought it really small, not a full grown. But i do think i see the 3rd polyp coming in.
This is from a few weeks ago. I dont have any recent ones.

Who know but i am definitely happy woth how it turned out. I seen some really "ugly" ones out there.
Mine were og and they grew to about 25-30 polyps then all melted , so sad , even the few frags I made that were across the tank melted at same time

Did you ever notice asterina starfish on them?

I have multiple Zoa colonies in my tank. Introduced healthy tank raised 20+ polyp exosphere colony. It attracted thd starfish and appeared to be melting away day after day. With those starfish on or around it.

I isolated the colony in a box and I stopped losing polyps. I eliminated the starfish and was able to return the colony to its original spot and regrew it to 25+ heads

The starfish never showed interest in other Zoas

Just a wild theory so figured I would ask when I see people mentioning healthy colonies melting.
