Does this look like it is stretching for light? I haven't purchased/rented a PAR meter, yet. But it is on my list, ASAP.

I have a Popbloom 60, 30g tank, 23"~ from light to top of sand. The settings are set to 60%.

I think the xenia is probably fine. What is that other coral in the lower right of the photo? It does look a touch pale
That is my BTA. I can't get it to come out of that area to save my life. It opens up, and seems 'healthy' but I've wondered about the coloring, as well.

I found someone measuring PAR levels at different depths: (around the 10min mark)

The numbers are fine, but he's running it nearly maxxed out. I assume you will need to run it higher than 60% to give your corals enough light. If you decide to increase intensity, do so over a few weeks to not suddenly grill your corals.

I agree, if that is a bta and not a sebae, you could probably use more par, just guessing based on that pic. BTAs do love hooking their foot upside down in a good crevice. They kinda have a mind of their own and will end up wherever they geel like it. You can move flow and lighting to either coax them into staying put or moving though.

Thanks! I appreciate it.

Looks fantastic. I have always admired the shape and flow.

Don’t worry about Xenia, it’s going to live, don’t know if it ever dies. It takes over tanks anyways so it would be preferable lol. That bta needs light, you can try moving it but they usually do their own “thing” anyways.
