Trying to use the Neptune MOS on an AWC poly tank. Stock magnet "works" but seems highly likely that it will come undone.

Any recommendations on where I could get a stronger magnet?

Would there be any negative impact on the MOS performance with a non-stock stronger magnet?

How thick is the plastic? I run these same sensors on 1/4" glass without issues.

You could always get some of that thin craft foam with adhesive backing (any craft store will usually have 4x6" sheets in various colors), cut a small square out (roughly 1/2" wider in width and height), punch out the center and use then stick that to the side of the tank as a 'bracket' to help hold the magnet in-place.

Alternately, if you do find a stronger magnet you shouldn't have any issues with the MOS.

I'd guess the poly tank is 3/8ths thick.

I ordered some magnets thatvare aupposed to be strong (130 lb pull rated) and will try one of those.
