Struggling with micro bubbles from gyre

For the MPs, if you have nems....any nem protection is better then none...

I'm more speculating if somehow the MP nem protectors could be causing microbubbles too. No idea just thinking out loud

I have an older gyre and yes they do create air when the propeller spins backwards. Is one side or both side spinning with the circular prop backwards ?

Thankful for this thread , set my Maxspect tank up this past week and could not figure out for the life of me what was causing all the micro bubbles in the tank. Thinking it was the skimmer, I used filter flosss etc before the pump and couldn’t see a single micro bubble in the sump. Started thinking it might be the return hoses taking in air then it hit me with the gyre having a lot of micro bubbles on the actual frame of the pump and looked it up and found this thread. Turned it off then back on a few min later and poof micro bible pretty much gone.

Is it possible the pump is cavitating in the water creating the micro bubbles? I wouldn't think it's spinning fast enough for this, but maybe reduce speed by 5-10% at a time until they're gone? Just a thought

I think it might be, but the solution above solves a big part of the problem for me. Gotta love the wonderful ppl of R2R!

Mine is only running random mode at 60% being the highest

I spent 4 days trying to figure it out and after reading this thread it took me 2 min to fix it…LOL. Hopefully it stays that way, there are very few from time to time but 90% better for sure! My sanity is renewed….LOL.
