My BTA has been like this for about 3 weeks and I have no clue what’s going on… he has been in the tank for 6 months and this tank has been up for 15 months. First time he’s been like this.

Parameters
Alk-8.3
Cal-500
Mag-1500
Nitrates-1
Phos-0.03

Your nitrates are pretty low, have you been feeding the anemone? I ran an ULNS to make my SPS happy and had a BTA do this if I didn't feed it weekly. I have recently started dosing nitrates and it seems to be helping too, but I'm new to that part.

I did dose nitrates yesterday to 5ppm hopefully that might help. But I have not fed the guy maybe squirts of mysis shrimp every time I feed but other than that nothing has changed.

I thought I had to much flow so I did turn it down

Some btas just do it stubby. I've got a few of them myself as well, look under the larger ones. I have put the smaller ones nearly everywhere and while they can open big they always remain short.

It’s just weird it use to have long tentacles with the bubbles

Those two pictures are the same anemone? Is it in the same spot in both of your pictures?

Something is up then, has lightning or flow changed, to much flow will cause my larger ones to shrink their danglers

Could very well be irritated at that, give it a week to sort out and just keep a watchful eye that it isn't in further decline.

No such thing as shorter tentacle btas? You're sure about that with certainty eh.
