I thought mysis were freshwater? Or is there a marine version too?

Mysis are, from all I've read, freshwater shrimp - but they've got some saltier cousins (mysid = related to / in the family of mysis) that seem to do well in our tanks.

Also I just started feeding frozen mysis. Surely they didn’t come from that...right lol

Most of the mysis available as frozen foods, such as P.E. Mysis, are freshwater - and proper freezing should have killed off any eggs, in any case. Should have . . .

I 've had the same thing happen in my tank. I have seen it happen now multiple times at night what looks like tons of brine shrimp or mysis shrimp I don't what they are but the corals and fish seems to love it!
