Hi all,
I just added two additional power heads to my 75 gallon FOWLR(currently, planning on adding softies and maybe LPS). I added one (HYGER 1050 GPH) to disrupt the surface and increase oxygen exchange and the other (HYGER 2100 GPH) to create a gyration effect with the existing powerhead I have in the bottom left corner of the tank. I’ll be honest, I’m not sure the GPH of the existing powerhead I had before the hygers, but my LFS told me it was rated for 90 gallons.
My question here is positioning of power heads and flow amounts. Are the bottom power heads at a good level? Should they be more towards the middle of the tank? Is this too much flow? I only have a couple of clowns and a CUC in the tank and everyone seems more active than before when I only had the one power head so I think these were a good upgrade, but want to make sure I’m not missing anything to oversight.
Thanks everyone!
