As I’m preparing to add a few more fish to my tank, I’m looking at setting up a couple quarantine tanks. I have multiple 5.5 and 10 gallon tanks. I’m thinking mostly smaller fish (no tangs or large angels or similar). Is there an “average” size QT tank or is it up to the individual?

I use 2 ea 20 gallon longs for all my QT fish. I use the TTM method. I only fill them 2/3 full.

Hmm I don’t have any 20 longs. Apologies for the ignorance but what’s the TTM method?

Lol I may have to stick with a standard copper/other treatment tank. I have the patience and the TTM seems like a lot more work to add to an already busy schedule

I used a 20G long, but that's because I have multiple fish in it while my DT is fallow for 76 days.
if I was just going to be QT a fish or two at a time, I would probably go with something smaller, a 10 Gal perhaps.

What I need to find is a light for my 20G. Just need something that has a timer function...... and can keep some corals alive for 30 days or so....

Have you considered just using a smart plug instead of finding a light with a timer?

I have 1 10, 3 20's, and 2 40's. One of the 40's is for non cp treatment. The tank size depends on the fish. I like at least a 20 for ammonia and maintenance to keep ammonia down.
