In the new year I’ll have a spare room which I’m eyeing off as an aquarium room.

I’m keen to move my 2 existing cades (1200p and 900f) out of my dining / lounge area and reclaim the space and have a dedicated space for reefing gear.

It’s a 6m x 3m room (high southerly windows that leave plenty of wall space below) and entrance door tucked in the corner of one of the 6m stretches. So lots of wall space basically but it’s long and thin.

I’m toying with the idea of getting a bigger tank in addition to the existing ones. And maybe experimenting with a large external (not sitting under) sump for easy access and maintenance (I’m not trying to hide the tech away it’s part of the appeal for me)

What would you do with that space?

I mean there’s so much you can do with a spare room.
I would begin listing the things you are interested in, and put down a pros and cons list for each item.
This will help you narrow down what would be important, and what you can skip on.
