Well I’m in California for a week. Day 2 my lights went out. So as soon as I get back to Louisiana I will be installing an ai prime hd inside the hood. Plan is to drill a pilot hole then use a 2” hole saw.

Moved mushrooms around and added a flame scallop yesterday.

while yes scallops are hard to keep in an aquarium after a good bit of research most don’t survive a year in an aquarium. So I decided to take the plunge and try one out, I view it as either way it can be in a store tank not getting much personal attention in that one year of tank life. Or I can spoil it for as long as possible and give it a good tank life, better than it would have sitting in a shop.

Like my lfs owner said “there’s a reason they are cheap, they don’t have a long life in aquariums and a lot of people won’t even try owning something with special needs that isn’t expected to live too long. But they are beautiful and unique so they are worth giving a good life and observing how unique they are along the way.”
