So, as the title of this thread suggests, I'll be traveling the first 2 weeks of July with an international destination. Needless to say, I have pretty high anxiety over the well being of my reef tank while I'm away. Although my partner will be home during my trip to take care of feeding, cleaning the glass and basic daily needs, anything beyond will have the potential to be a big challenge to overcome without me here. While I am giving overviews and daily lessons on various topics of basic tank maintenance and operations, peace of mind would be in knowing that someone local could be a point of contact in case "something" should happen while I'm on the other side of the world. :(
My request is going out to CTARS members local to Bloomfield that might be available these first 2 weeks of July to be a sort of "on-call" person should my partner have an emergency situation or questions. I would ask that prior to my departure you come over and meet with the both of us and to see our setup, get a basic overview of our tank, exchange contact information as well as grant you access to my apex controller, etc. There is a very good chance that nothing would be required of you, but if something should arise, I need someone with some flexibility to assist with an emergency. Should we require your assistance during my absence, I'd be more than happy to compensate you. I'm hoping to go this route and have someone volunteer but I'm also prepared to reach out to one of the LFS for assistance during my absence.
