Sump Baffle Kit - OctoAquatics

I’m looking at adding this sump baffle kit to make a Refugium after the filter cup section of my RedSea Reefer 170.

My goal for the fuge is mainly as a pod sanctuary as well as some nutrient export via chaeto growth.

Has anyone used this baffle kit?
Do you recommend it?

Should I just use rubble rock or put a sandbed in the Fuge section?

I haven’t used this exact kit but Matt has made me many custom sump baffles his work is amazing and he stands behind his products if you want something changed or custom dont hesitate to email him

Skip the sandbed it will be future trouble rubble rock and biomedia is perfect

Thank you…I’ll have to order one.

Would pods make it past the skimmer and return pump into the main tank?

Mine is past the skimmer then return and I see pods all the time in the display and my sump is in the basment
