Sump baffles

Can it be as simple as that for a really basic sump system?

(I’m building it in a 35 gallons cube under a 65 reef cube)

My first tank all I had was a return pump baffle. The rest was just open space - its all up to what you want to do with it

My first sump used a plastic container to maintain water lever for the skimmer then the rest was open. Whatever you need.
