Hi guys, I am setting up a 120 gallon reef tank and just about to order a custom made sump.

My cabinet dimensions are 4x2x3.

I am looking at adding a roller matt, marine pure block eshopps skimmer, fuge or algae reactor and possibly a reactor with carbon.

What would be the best size sump to go with and the ideal number of compartments ?

Also thoughts on the following options.

Refugium vs algae reactor ?
Carbon in a sock vs reactor ?

Tank will be moderately stocked and corals will be mostly LPS.

Thanks for any response

You need to first figure out what you are putting in it, before you slice it up .

I would go with at least 40 gal sump,
Skimmer section then refugium.
Reactors fed from an independent pump that is placed after your roller mat.
