I just installed a new sump for my 600 gallon tank, my problem is it makes such loud gulping noise from the water returning into the sump from the 2 overflow boxes ( noise is coming from sump). I had to use flex tubing when replacing my old sump, all 4 returning lines have about 2 feet or less, from the lines into the sump. My question are the lines to long into the sump that causing gulping noise the noise seems to be coming in the area of the return lines just prior to the sock section of the sump which is first section , see pic below please! Thanks

If that is going to be the permanent water level at the return into the sump, I would cut those hoses about an inch below the water line. Could very well be back pressure causing the noise.
