which way is better? I'm setting up the tank by myself. I found one place called living color aquariums that has some nice ones anyone have any experience with this company? If a fuge is better , what is the best things to put in there and why? Thanks for the help

I have a 55g tank sectioned off into 3 chambers. The right side is my fuge, the middle is my 2 return pumps and the left side has my skimmer. It was pretty easy to make. We just cut acrylic and glued it in place.

My fav part of my tank are the little critters, so the main purpose of my fuge is a safe place for the small critters to build their populations. I did put some green algae stuff in there someone gave me at a recent club meeting. It might be cheato, but I'm not sure.

i agree both are beneficial, but the overall benefit is to increase your total water volume. a chaeto tank is a great way to reduce phosphates and nitrates. and a sump is a place to put your skimmer, heaters, filter media, etc.
i recommend you try and get as much room for both as you can.
