Sump refugium

My side light died in refugium-went sinmole to overhead clamp light and this has taken off


Did notice on a wall in sump some bubble algae-maybe was always there-should this be a concern

Display tank is and has always been clean as a whistle with bo algae growth

I keep pitho crabs in my displays that have or have had bubble algae, it hasn’t seemed to return since adding them. They love a few other types of macros too though, didn’t touch my green codium, but ate specifically the feathers off my palm caulerpa. Testing some grape caulerpa now with them

My whole sump basically turned into an algae scrubber, I would rather do water changes than have a sump that looked like mine. side note, the display was pristine.
