Hello all, I've been battling GHA and the root cause is high nitrates @ 25-30ppm, just started dosing phosphate since it was 0.0 this morning. Here is my current sump setup. Fiji cube 24 advance sump. (Left to right) overflow to filter pads through siporax, skimmer is bubble magus curve 5, empty chamber (tried cheato but just kept getting in return pump and display) and finally return pump. Any other ideas on sump setup to help fight nitrates? Tank is 40 breeder, 6 blue chromis, 1 yellow tang and medium snowflake eel. Feeding pe pellets 2x a day, frozen mysis 1x every other day, eel eats 1 silverside every other day.

You are adding a lot of nutrients to the tank, and nothing is taking them out.

I would figure out how to get the fuge running again. I think that's your best bet for nutrient removal.

I just started running a fuge 2 days ago, giving red ogo macro algae a try, so time will only tell.
