I need some help here. Should my sump level be lower or higher? I want it to be lower, just so then my return chamber level is slightly lower than sump level. However, the filter sock holes specifically the one closest to me in the picture is so noisy. I feel like if i raise the level another inch, that noise will go away, but then my retirn chamber will be same as skimmer chamber, and i dont want to risk too much when it comes to my sump overflowing when pumps turn off and my return line siphons until the nozzles become exposed to air to break siphon.

Would love some expert opinions

The easy way to see where you're at is to turn off the return pump and see where your sump settles at.

My sump is quite a bit more full than that. Probably 3 inches higher.

I'd do what @BryanM is suggesting even for a safety standard. Make sure your backflow won't overflow, and give yourself more water volume where possible :)

Yes, but I feel like that amount fluctuates based on where my return nozzles are at
