What is a good sump to run with a refugium for a 75 gallon tank?
A 20g long, 29g long, or 40g breeder aquarium with baffles will make an excellent sump for this tank size!

The latter two of the three sizes would even be able to house a rather substantial refugium compartment!

The 40g is obviously the best choice so it can even be reused during a future tank upgrade! Though, it will be the same width as your 75g, so fitting it cleanly in the stand is very dependent on stand design!

I used to run a 20g long with my 75 back in the day. If I had that to do over, I'd have gone with the 40g breeder. You can't fit much into a 20 long.
