Super high nitrate

I'm having really high nitrates like above 100 ppm. Can't really tell due to horrible api test kit. How can I reduce them. I don't have Rodi water and tap has 40 ppm nitrate to begin with. Currently mixing a batch of freshwater right now and dosed prime in it. What can I do?

Water changes, less feeding, consider dosing some carbon but that would take a while to start showing results. What's in the tank right now in terms of livestock? I know you don't have any RODI unit but could you buy some RODI water from a local fish store? Maybe buy some saltwater from an LFS?

Honestly, starting with that nitrates in your water supply is a uphill battle.
