After yesterday's meeting I was replenishing my cleanup crew with snails/hermits that I bought at blakes earlier in the day. Inadvertently I must have taken the heater out of my acclimation bucket with a turbo snail still attached and hung it in the basement.
I was down in the basement almost a day later and noticed an turbo snail shell on the stairs. Odd I thought how did a shell get there. When I picked it up I noticed it was not just a shell, it was a snail from yesterday that was dead now. When I looked at it closer it's trap door moved. To my amazement when I went to put it in my tank to see if it had life it grabbed onto the glass with its foot immediately!
Man some of these reef creatures are so much hardier than we think they are. It's a Christmas miracle LOL.
