Can anyone tell me the meaning of the word surface skimming , and the diference between a overflow box and a elbow of 1".

Surface skimming is using a device that just take water in from the top layer of the water column.

Overflow box is a device that allows water to go from the display tank to a sump.

90 Elbow is a piece of pvc piping.

Protein floats to the waters surface. Only way to remove it is by having the surface water removed and filtered.
