I put this leopard wrasse in my tank about a month ago. It immediately disappeared and I figured it didn't make it. Walked in this morning to feed the tank and much to my surprise was this guy swimming around. What's even more amazing is how healthy it looks after hiding that long.

Always nice to see a fish you thought was gone reappear like that!

It was short lived. It was only out for about 2 or 3 hours. The good news is it was eating so hopefully it continues to come out more and more. The purple and Tomini tang were a little too curious and I think he didn't like the attention.

I had a very similar experience with a Halichoeres garnoti. I put her in the tank and she disappeared immediately. 3 weeks later she was out swimming and interacting with the fish and even came to the front glass frequently whenever she saw me. She was fat and I swear she had grown an inch since I added her! I think the hiding wrasses must come out at night when we're not looking because mine was super healthy and happy when she was finally out during the day.
