Hang in there, Susan. It'll all come back together.
congratulations on your 3 year mark, you'll get your tank straightened out soon enough. we all have those times when our tanks can run amuck for a while.
thanks, all! Best money I spend is to support this site with all the support given so freely here!!

numbers spot on
no3 9
po4 .09
alk 10.5 a bit high so turned down dosing

a bit of cyano still but better and it never got pervasive. Will blow rocks and add snow and bacter7

adding some nyos stuff (mind blip!) but not every day to keep no3 where it is at.

contacted support for the trident. No water sample. need that back up for testing. Will calibrate to my tank numbers when it is working

I've seen Dave several times right out front. Once I was worried he wasn't moving but he eventually did. Need some more to help with sandbed. It is awful. Tuxedo pincushion finally off the main rock. was on side wall for weeks/months. Now front and center.put an algae clip under it. no interest

Definitely hang in there! Sometimes it's hard to keep up with these larger tanks; they're slow to develop a problem but once it's in full-swing it's often a lot harder to correct (you have to reduce things gradually).

My alkalinity spiked to well over 11 in a very short period of time (the Trident failed and I'd become too complacent with it and wasn't independently testing as often) and I lost this massive chip's acro (which was a fish favorite). I placed it next to a standard sports water bottle for size.

I spent the next few weeks f**king around with the Trident to get it working again (weeks of "Bad Alk/Ca/Mg" range errors) which involved removal, draining, cleaning, etc. Ultimately I got it working again but I honestly couldn't tell you what I did. I think maybe I got some debris (or a small spirorbid worm) in the sample line and it took it's sweet a** time to dissolve or get flushed out.

hugs on losing that. Losses like that hurt!! I have lost some big colonies. I notice my cysphastrea is getting green on it again so hope it pulls thru. Most lps is fine but I've lost most of the sps. A few left. Guess I need to go to my spreadsheet and update :(

Reduced my alk by 10 ml as getting too high as well.

good news that my temps are good. Actually a bit higher as the new heaters keep it at min of 77 so when the house gets warm, so does the tank!
