Today is finally the day for a much needed tank update!

I've added some new tenants that now need naming, I will show them off in the following post.

Today is water change day. Fifteen gallons out and eighteen gallons prepped to go.
Here's my dilemma. I have like ~70 lbs of rock I could add. I've been wanting to add to it for a year now. I finally came across 220lbs of rock for $80 and couldn't say no. I've shared that between all 4 tanks.
Feel free to add suggestions for rock placement. Plenty od prim real estate to be added.

Also, I have a 4k gyre that I swapped back out of the 55g. I need to add it somewhere as I had a lot of dead spots.

Thalassoma were by far the dominant wrasse in Hawaii, just wish they were better behaved because they are so pretty and fun
I hope by the time I make it there, there are still fish to see.

Eelektra unfortunately decided to go tile surfing while I was redoing the rocks a few weeks back. I have one in QT right now, however.
Rockscape was completely redone, skimmer was dismantled and thoroughly cleaned, UV put back in, GHA battle is won *knock on wood*.
Reef status is back online, some beautiful mushrooms were saved from a friend's tank, 2 hammers were fragged out of the 55, and a beautiful nem went in over the weekend.
I've put a lot of blood, sweat, and tears into this tank for the last 6 months.

Almost all new rock made the new scape for the Bad Guys.

My wrasse gang are looking gorgeous and Jello is Jello. He's becoming pretty rowdy and I've felt his teeth a couple times now. Interference needs to be run when water changes are being done now and he will happily splash and thrash at the surface if you don't feed him on time.

Dude is a jerk and needs to go. $30.

Fat off the bits of other fish it tries to eat. They are little monsters
No kidding...
Made a risky choice of putting in a gorgeous lineatus male.
The other wrasse paid him no attention.
However, Borbs was overlooked... they hate fairies.. Once Cool Whip initiated persuit, Dude was on him like, well, a hawk... Needless to say, I no longer have a lineatus. Dude beat the everloving crap out of him and I had to scoop him out by hand.
I did have "professional" help with getting and introducing the fish, but we both forgot about the anthias.

This lil guy's for you? Nice!!
Yes, to replace the one who decided she wanted to check for dust bunnies behind the tank.

When I redid all the rocks, I walked away without putting the lid back on...

Sorry. The same thing happened to me a couple weeks back. Was doing maintenance to the sump and moved the skimmer to the DT which left a hole in the lid.

Want one?
You keep that mistake, lol.

I am jonesing for another longnose hawk tho, they are kinda expensive now. Saw one locally at my LFS for 70$ last week and I went total cheapskate.

I had this guy for right at 6 years when it passed. Got it when I got back into the hobby in 2018, longest liver up to this point. He leaped and got caught on the euro bracing and croaked :(. Both hawks shared a tank with no issues. Loved watching them stalk shrimp, until my wallet didn't like it.
