I agree with keeping the antibiotics going for an additional 4 days or so. She does look pretty good considering what she's been through!

Good Day, another update on Angel. She is doing phenomenal. She has been in QT for 22 days now. I did continue with the antibiotics for 16 days, I think. Now only coppersafe. I conduct 50% water changes every 2 days. Her dorsal fin is growing back and she is very active. 95% if not more of the lympho's have fallen off. She still has 2 cauliflower spots on her tail where it was the most infected. I must say with the guidance of everyone here and a couple prayers, she really did come through. I will continue therapeutic levels of coppersafe for the full 30 days and then clear it out and a week or 2 for observations. It's been a long run but she did good. Let's keep our fingers crossed that she finish this so she go into her new forever home. Big thanks to @ngoodermuth, @Humblefish, @melypr1985, @4FordFamily and everyone else who gave advice or just gave supportive comments. Thank you

Thanks for sharing this success! Often fish don't recover from such terrible infections. She looks like she should be named Sharkbait with that chunk out of her fin.

Hello all, I have started to deplete the copper from Angels QT tank. I did a huge water change (i took out 75% of the water) and replaced it with DT water, no copper and I put a mesh bag full of carbon in the tank. How long does it take for the carbon to deplete the copper? Is it okay to place the bag in the tank and run it passively or should I place it in a filter and run it that way?

It depends, I would let the carbon run for a day or so and recheck the copper. You may need to swap it out with fresh if you are still detecting copper after a few days.

I try to stick mine in a place with decent flow to speed it up, but putting it in a filter isn't necessary.
