Swannyson7's 180g mixed reef

I'm not very good at full tank shots, and a lot of the corals are tough to get in the FTS due to placement, but here's a few attempts:

I picked up a new Tomini Tang from the LFS yesterday which you can see in a few of the pics. I'll try to snap a few better pictures of him later this week.

Nice! A tomini tang was on my list of fish I want to get, can't wait to see him. Your tank is going to be sick once everything grows out.

Started playing around with Windows Movie Maker for this month's POTM contest and here's the result. I can't figure out how to adjust the exposure on my camera, so a forewarning that some of the video is really washed out.

Thanks! The program was surprisingly easy to use for a newbie.

Time for a bunch of updated shots to document growth. Some stuff has had noticable growth, while others have done next to nothing.

very nice build and the corals and fish are awesome . Are you A carpenter by trade or just another hobby ? You build some nice stuff wish I had those skills seems the furniture they make now is junk last about 5 months and falls apart . the lighting is dead on man colors are popping ..and that 10 dollar frag was quite the deal. keep up the good work really inspiring one day I will have such A thought out system.

Man you have some sick SPS's and Zoa's in there! Do you ever have issues with the Zoa's encroaching on the SPS's and if so what do you do about it?

Also can we get a recent FTS?

Thanks! Carpentry is merely a hobby that I picked up from my father when I was a kid. I've been very fortunate with my corals... most of them were grown out from cheap-o frags and freebies from friends, although there are a few higher priced ones.

I've never really had an issue with zoas growing over the SPS.... actually I've noticed the opposite. My rainbox monti is growing so fast that it encrusts over a colony of LORs when they close up at night. The colony was about half covered before I noticed. Once I broke off a piece of the rainbow, the zoas opened up within about an hour, so at least no damage was done! If you look back a page there's a FTS from New Years Eve.

Some progression pics....
