Shoot man I'm sorry and hope your recovery keeps up and hurries along! Those young folks out there take for granted the resiliency of young body! HA! They better take care of it now!
Thanks Rev!
Absolutely! Heck I took advantage of my young body for probably too many years! 😁

PT starts in 2 weeks so I’m hoping to make quick recovery once I start🤞

Your system is really doing well right now to be pulling those colors! Nice work. The contrasting green bases on those first two are crazy

Thank you my friend! I think I am finally past all my previous struggles. I have been doing a moonshiners hybrid dosing regimen and ICP every month. Things are really starting to take off now!

It's well deserved!
Details on your "moonshiner's hybrid" dosing...Does that mean you are doing moonshiners but still doing water changes?

Well, with the price of salt mix going thru the roof lately, I needed to cut back on water changes. I used to do 14% weekly. Now I only do 12% every 2 or 3 weeks. I was also getting critically low on some elements like iodine, manganese, flourine, etc. So I initially started dosing trace elements via Tropic Marin’s 3 part hybrid system with BRS soda ash and BRS calcium mixes. After a couple ICP tests I seen the vanadium skyrocketing as well as a few other elements staying high while some elements were still critically low. So what I’ve done is bring the dosing of the Tropic Marin down to half of what I started at. I then purchased all the elements that were critically low based on the best price. So I have some Moonshiners elements, some AF, some ATI. I dose most of these elements every weekend and I dose Manganese and iodine daily. It has been working very well for me and I don’t have 15-20 elements to dose every single day like the full moonshiners system suggests.

Thanks Tim! I’ve learned from Dayton’s best over the years!

I’m 12 weeks out now. Gaining range of motion almost daily. I actually went out and played 9 holes yesterday starting at 150-180 yards out. No Driver lol. I was so happy to be back on the course. But I’m not pushing it too much. I see the surgeon again tomorrow to try to get cleared for a full return to golf plan.

How often do you send ICPs? Do you ICP your water change water and adjust those levels first?

I’m trying to dial in the daily dosed elements so for the last 3 months I’ve done 3 ICP. Getting ready to send another one in next week. With the small amount of water changes I’m doing, the adjustments to the elements are so minor I don’t think it matters.

Nice to see another Laser Melon! Mine hasn’t been growing much but it’s been getting more colorful. Hoping it starts getting to it soon.

It’s been a bit slow to get going but it seems like it’s picking up here lately. The colors are really coming in on it too!

Top 3 in the millepora department in my opinion

CC BAHAMA MAMA

Working on re-acquiring this one. This was my JF Solar Flare running in high gear. I moved it to higher par and it must have been too direct for it. By the time I noticed it was in trouble, it was too late and I lost it....

That Bahama Mama is killer! Mine is a stagnant little nub right now lol.
I still have a piece of Solar Flare I got from you. It’s been through a lot with all my tank troubles but has held on. Thought I might lose it at one point but it fairly recently started looking better so I’m hoping it takes off at soon.

How high was the par? I have tried 2 times and lost it.
It was only in about 225 (indirect) when I took that pic. I moved it to about 275-300 but it was directly under one side of a G4. I am assuming the direct light was too much for it. It really stinks because it was colored about the best I had ever had one.

Ya, going thru system difficulties is never going to be helpful when you’re growing a finicky coral like it seems to be. I’m glad yours is looking like it’s turning around!

Had to show this one off. I've been cooking this one for a while and it's finally hitting its stride on both color and growth. It did a LOT of encrusting before it decided to shoot some branches. But wow, these colors are super nice!

And here's one we have been aquaculturing for almost 2 years. It is now a huge table like colony with some very attractive yellows and baby blues
