I just purchased a skunk tile goby and I think it gulped some air while it was being caught. Is there anything I can do to help it? It keeps trying to swim down but just floats to the top. I caught him in a net to help him stay near the bottom.

This is a swimbladder issue. Here’s a video for lansing it...

You can always hope it clears up on its own but it doesn’t generally. If the area is swollen (as it often is) it is pretty easy to locate the swim bladder.

Well I tried to vent him. Now it's a matter of if I did it right or wrong.
