I bought a symphyllia in a scratch an dent sale a few weeks ago. It had a little recession when I bought it and 2 days after bringing it home I had severe recession and some brown jelly. When I finally got the brown jelly stopped there were only sections of the mantle and a couple of mouths left. The biggest section (twice the size of a silver dollar) seems to be doing alright, but my question is, will it regrow into a complete doughnut eventually. The mantle that is left inflates just fine and it puts out feeder tenticles at night and it eats, but any regrowth seems minimal right now. It has survived in this condition for about a month.

I doubt if flesh will cover the exposed skeleton. It might grow a new skeleton over the old. Slow grower
