My wife just confirmed she got me a 24" power module for xmas! This willbe replacing a G3 xr15 pro over a red sea reefer 170....here's my question. What T5 bulb set up does anyone have? I love a blueish tank and just don't know how the led portion will effect the overall look. Any feedback on current users would be great too!

Sad to hear you are replacing the LED's. I have 2 G3 xr15 and 4-t5 over my 50gal. These two types of lighting compliment each other well. Any ways. I have led's set to AB+ for 6 hours. And t5 for 5 hours. I also like the blue look. So I went with 2 blue plus and 2 purple plus. It brings enough blue light but is not dim. I hope this helps.

Might help:
I love adding these videos to questions like this! T5 is a great way to grow coral and almost any bulb combination will work. I think it is best for each person to visually see what the combinations look like and they can decide what is most appealing in their own opinion.

When I was running a 4 bulb combo, I did ATI's 2 x blue plus, coral plus, and purple plus. Fantastic color hue, even the fish looked fantastic. I prefer it to any of the leds I'm running now.

Best of both worlds hopefully! The Led portions of the powermodule is actually 75 watts. Assuming the coral will still pop pretty well! Looking forward to trying this light.

Great advice. I am in the same boat as far as choosing the light combo but just wondering if I should add a 10k bulb or 2? I have a 6 bulb setup an just wondering if just using the actinic bulbs alone would give the tank the right spectrum. Mine is over a 125g tank and just starting to get into the coral end of the hobby so want to make sure I get it some what right before I start putting the corals in.
