T5 dimming modification

Is it possible to modify or retrofit an existing T5 fixture to dim and ramp up and down in intensity? I know there is the Miro retrofit kit but if I understand correctly that is more for making your own ballast rather than modifying an existing one.

You would have to replace the ballast in the fixture. The ballast is what would allow the dimming.

Thank you for the information. Is there any way to program such a retrofit dimmable T5 fixture besides a standard full aquarium controller?

^ yeah, you would need a 0-10v controller.
