T5 users Photoperiod?

Question for those who are using t5 in their SPS dominant tank. What is your total photo period?
I've been reading a lot and it seems most prefer a short period 6-8hrs max for best coloration.

I use a 6 bulb ATI sunpower and run a total of 9hrs. Actinic on for 9hr and all 6 bulbs on for 6hrs.

That's pretty close to what I run. How is color and growth?

I run 12 bulbs, they ramp up four bulbs every hour, all on for six hours and then ramp back down four at a time every hour.

I run the same photo period. Color and growth is great. I run a six bulb fixture with ati bulbs.
