Tabling acro?

Stupid question, trying one if my first acropora and, it’s healthy on both “sides” but it clearly has sides. It looks healthy either way, but I’m guessing it was JUST mounted and was upright at the store/swap. Plug looks pretty clean too fwiw.

Should I place it horizontally or as it sits on the plug/vertically?

I think you are correct on how it was growing before it was glued onto the plug. Pop it off the plug and glue it in the orientation that it was growing in originally, is what I would do.
