Tailspot Blenny Disappeared, how long until you write him off.

Hello, I put a Tailspot Blenny and a Court Jester Goby in my tank last Fridays (6 days) ago, and the TSB sat on a rock the first day and I have not seen him since. The CJG is doing great. The only other inhabitance are a pair of clowns, a tiny Tiger Goby, a cleaner shrimp, a peppermint shrimp, and various snails.

I know these guys can be a bit reclusive when you put them in a tank, but when do I write him off as a goner? I have a lid on and have checked the floor and the back (AIO) multiple times, and I have not seen a spike in Nitrates.

With a good lid, he’s in there.
If hes dead, you should see a congregation of others having lunch.
Maybe an ammonia spike while he degrades.

ive had one disappear for 1 month and show back up! takes them time to get comfortable sometimes

Did you end up finding him ?

Mine disappeared 2 weeks ago. Had been in the tank for a month.

It's always possible he changed spots and the spot he's at is out of my line of sight. But I haven't seen him at all. 180gal tank.

Sorry to hear. I still have hopes for mine, though won't have them too high.

Checked everywhere for him and could not find. As you said if he died the CuC would vanish a body from night to day.
