Tailspot blenny picking at scoly

I would have never believed it had I not seen it with my own eyes. Maybe he is just grazing thinking it's another rock colored with algae. The coral doesn't show signs of damage, but I am concerned.

Anyone know how to get a tailspot out of a full blown reef tank? I am tempted to see if I can borrow one of those aiptasia lasers.

IDK, I don't see any coral flesh coming off. I see it picking, not biting. If it was a bite, the flesh would stretch a bit, know what I mean? Do you see any bite marks on the coral? Sorry for being a doubting tom, but unless I see the bite marks on the coral, I am guessing it is nibling at pods or detritus or piece of food or something. The scoly looks perfectly happy and not retracting at the 'bites'

Thats a very tough call, but not looking good for the blenny, good luck on that.

Situation is getting noticably worse. Trying to catch the blenny in a bottle trap but it's not going well.

Can you move the scoly for a bit? I have a tail spot who lives with a toadstool!

I've been trying to catch this guy for a while. I'm ready for an aiptasia laser.

Rest assured, friends. I was able to catch him with a bottle trap. He is now in a tank that is free of scolys.
