I have a few little patches of tan algae on my sandbed. They seem to be spreading slowly, and not aggressively, and I show no signs of algae on the glass or rocks.

Current CUC: handful of hermits, emerald crab, couple of cerith snails, and a handful of margarita snails.

40B — running 46 days

Temp: 78.5°F
pH: 8.1
Alk: 9.5
NH3: 0ppm
NO3: 0-2.5ppm
PO4: 0ppm
Ca: 540ppm
Mg: 1360ppm

I did a 75% WC a couple of days ago with Fritz RPM (had been using IO) and 0 TDS RODI. The RPM seems to be a bit high on the Ca and Mg, but otherwise things are stable.

Normal new tank growth nuisance algae. Could be diatoms at this point.

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
