What tangs would you recommend for a 180g tank with a regal angel and 4 dwarf angels?

yellow, purple or scopas ( all same family but I have had good luck with this group)
I like powder Brown, goldrim, tomini and bristletooth also.
Blue hippo is usually my first just because.

Not everyone will agree but I have no problem putting the guys above in a 180G. Not all of them of course but 2 or 3 with your current stock list no problem.

As long as filtration can handle it.

also need lots of hiding spaces

I currently have in my 210g 7' tank ( just downsized from a 8' 300g this past weekend)

Everyone gets along great. Only other fish are a fox face, a darwin clown and a porcupine puffer

I have a similar size tank with a gem, yellow and black zebrasoma; alongside a fox face, copperband and flame angel. There’s a little aggression, usually between the black and yellow, but nothing worth worrying about. In theory, you have a higher chance of success with one from each genus vs all from the same genus but there are no absolutes when it comes to tang behaviour!

3 Yellows
1 Gem
1 Hippo
1 Powder blue
1 White tail bristle tooth
1 Naso

I wish I had introduced a purple when I added the 3 yellows. Worried about aggression now given so many.

Its a FOWLR so have 2 angels and other non-reef safe fish in it.

Not a recommendation really but I kept a naso, hippo, purple, yellow, and a convict in a standard 6ft 180 for a couple of years with no issues. The only angel I kept was a flame angel.

Wild. Got it in 2019.

At least 1 of my yellow tangs are definitely captive bred

Just got a captive bred regal angel, but it’s way too small for the fish in my 220. Growing it in another tank. Super tiny.

I'm hoping some tangs and maybe a pair of maroon clowns will give the dwarfs (bicolor, flame, CB, and lemonpeel) something else to think about. Some fish I find need a common foe to be less aggressive with each other.

The goldrim and powder you are going to want to add at the same time. I have a powder blue and brown that I added together and can definitely say the most aggression among all my tangs comes from that duo and there are times when they go at it at each other. May even want to switch one out in favor of a heavy grazer to keep Algea in check like a whitetail bristle which are nice. Also as a second note tomini are nice and one of my favs with their bold orange fins but I would say they hide a lot in rock work so if your targeting active swimmers may want to consider another.

Yes, the 180 will be six feet. I am well aware of the reputation of powder blues. The goldrim is the backup option if the consensus is pbt is too nasty. I will forego a zebrasoma if I decide to get a cbb since I've heard they don't mix.

They are nasty, got rid of mine when I had a 6 foot 125 gallon. Fish had a kill count!

I think goldrim, hippo, and tomini is looking best. I'm honestly torn between the tomini and blue eye kole tang. The risk of a pbt being a murderer is too high lol.
