Curious about an idea of a 180g with several tangs.

I was thinking

Gem
Purple
Achilles (got a pretty good idea of care, and I know they are difficult. Willing to accept risk on this one.)
Naso

Maybe a CBB if possible, but I would be worried about feeding.

If I were you, I would definitely skip the Achilles, I would opt for a 300g+ for an Achilles.

I would most likely skip the Naso as well, and opt for an acantharus.

Naso are big and powerful, and I still think 180 is a bit too small long term.

Achilles is a bit of a dream fish for me, and I don't really want to skip it. But the naso I would definitely drop, an 18" fish is a little big for a 180 for sure. That said, if I dropped the naso, could I do another tang of a different genus? Maybe a Kole or bristletooth tang? Thanks for your help!

Yea any of those are fine. Bristletooth and acanthurus like the powders and you can add a blue tang in there.

If you really want the Achilles, we can’t stop you but you have been warned!

I appreciate the warning, and the info! I have done an insane amount of research on care, so hopefully that knowledge will pay off. I know they have quite a reputation. Going to give it 3 tries max. If it doesn't work... I ain't going to push it.

If you've done that much research then you should probably know a 180g isn't going to cut it for an Achilles long term but since your willing to sacrifice up to three of them then your mind is made up so I wish you luck.
I upgraded from a 72x24x24" 180g to a 84x30x25" 330g because my tangs were looking cramped and I'm not sure this tank is going to be enough.
I keep peaceful tank cruisers and avoid the tangs that constantly swim laps. I find having a fish swimming laps seems to annoy the other fish and can cause aggression but that's JMO
I keep 4 yellows, convict, vlamingii, naso and purple and they just cruise around the tank all day nice and peaceful.

Wow, that's an awesome setup!
Thanks for the information!
