Tang help!!

While I was working on the tank my kole tang got scared and started freaking out. He hit some rocks and now he has marks and a few cuts on him on both sides. Should I do something?!

I tried but he is back in rock work and he's a little spooked after what happened

He'll probably be OK - but you might want to have some antibiotics (and a QT to use them in) on hand, just in case a bacterial infection sets in. Fast fish that live on reefs sometimes get banged up navigating their neighborhood - and mostly survive.

I'm no expert on any of this but since I haven't seen anyone comment I would recommend to just make sure he's eating, feed him as much as you can, and maybe try soaking food in garlic. There's also this other stuff people always recommend to soak food in but I can't remember the name at the moment. Hopefully someone will chime in! Hope the tang ok!

I agree with @Maritimer and @Jack Eskay, but rather than garlic I would soak foods in selcon.

Yup selcon, that's what I was trying to remember lol! I knew it started with an S!

Unless the water is very dirty or the tang's immunity is compromised in some other way, it should heal without issue.
