I don't think it is an Atlantic Blue Tang. The body is too elongated.
You are going to need to provide with a better picture with clear marking.

Tail coloration and shape, body marking coloration and size is extremely important to ID your tang, none of these was provided by your pictures. Only rough body outline.

I agree it's not a atlantic blue from that picture. My reasoning is it looks far to small to be in adult colouration and the body shape is wrong. It's like a bristletooth as mentioned above.

Need a shot with the white lights up, need to see lines on the fish, and any colorations near the eyes and such, that would make it easier to ID.

With the new picture I’m pretty sure this is the ctenochaetus striatus :) Bristletooth

here is mine (it doesn’t have ich, just some spirorbids on the glass)

It's look identical to my tang.

I'll try to make a better pictures.

I think we might be quite lucky... It was sold to me as a Ctenochaetus strigosus (yellow eye kole) without the yellow eye. (Which was quite weird as this LFS is pretty professional). After doing research I have never come up with a specific type of tang. I think we are both lucky to own a hybrid between a striatus and white tail. If I’m not mistaken mine is coming from Mauritius.

They are not the most colorful without the yellow eye, but yours is the first tang I have seen that looks identical to mine. I guess they are quite rare.

I think it is a A. thompsoni. It will get huge. The body shape and the black spot at the upper base of the tail is the reason I call it a Thompson Surgeon fish.

And it is not a Ctenochaetus tang. The shape is all wrong.

I verify and it's look much more like Bristletooth. Not like Thompson.

I'll try to turn my T5 off and take a less blue picture with flashlight. In the photos everything is way too blue.

How big it's now?
