Was sold to me as a type of bristletooth but now I’m not sure.

Looks to me like Acanthurus blochii, in which case it’ll get big, aggressive, active and definitely isn’t a bristletooth tang.

Do blochii have the yellow pectoral fins? I’m guessing this is a juvenile so the colors are variable.

Depending on size, you most likely do have a juvenile. Colours can vary depending on origin and specimens in general.
