They could, but it is dependent on a few things like tank size and when you add them to the tank.

They should get along for a while, but if they have to compete for algae, things could get ugly.

Usually three or more tangs work better but they're different enough you should be fine. Add at same time.

Yes, they can coexsist, in a larger tank with more territory for each to cover. 55g is a bit on the small side, for either of those Tangs.

I mostly agree, although if few fish in the tank and they're well fed it may be ok for a short while

Tangs pick territories in tanks. Yellow Tangs are a mean bunch also, when it comes to that. But, thats just the trouble I've had keeping one in a 240g tank. I won't keep another.

I made them both their own houses out of live rock so far they are not interfering with one another...if they do I will take one to LFS just to keep drama down in my tank...

Oh I know, I have 8 different species of tangs. Tang aggression is reduced by increasing the number of tangs ime

They should be fine. Dried seaweed is good and algae to graze. You should upgrade to a bigger tank eventually so you can get more tangs but watch out for

Five tangs in my 265 and the yellow is the most aggressive towards other fish - even more so than the Achilles or purple. Should be ok with a bristletooth if care is taken introducing them.

Here's the thing at first they followed each other they were cool until underneath the live rock...so I rearranged the live rock so until yes they had their own space it's only their first day as tank mates but it seems to be OK but I will have to see because I don't want no drama lol

I had enough of freshwater fish. Being aggressive I don't need it it for saltwater because it's more expensive

If done correctly, the Bristletooth would have to be intorduced first, then left in the tank for 6 months, then the Yellow added, but he'd still be terrible in the long run.

My purple tang is by far my most aggressive. My two previous Achilles tangs were very docile, my resident Achilles now is freaking nasty!
